Gambling Systems : Reverse Labouchere System

This is actually the most successful of the progressive betting systems, and the least dangerous because it limits your potential losses but puts almost no limit on your potential wins. It works in much the same way as the Labourchere system outlined previously : you establish a series of numbers that adds up to your target win - so for example if your target is to win 25 times your stake then your series of numbers might be 1+2+4+8+10 (=25). Add the first and last numbers in the series to determine your initial bet (1+10=11).

Where the Reverse Labouchere System differs from the Labouchere System is in how you deal with wins or losses. In the Reverse Labouchere System you cross off two numbers from your list after each loss, and add the stakes won to the list after each win.

This is an unusual system because it usually results in a small LOSS for the gambler. The upside is that on the occasions you do win the wins can be very large. In this sense it is the very opposite of the Martingale system (see our earlier post for details of how to use the Martingale system).
