Novelty Bets : Ashes Series

Paddy Power have revealed a great set of novelty bets on the England v Australia Ashes series, for those who don’t take their cricket too seriously.

We particularly like the “Warney’s Words” series of bets. Legendary Ozzie spinner Shane Warne will be commentating for Sky TV throughout the series, and bets are being taken on which phrase he will use first once the game is under way. The favourite is “G’Day mate” at 6/1 - highly possible but just a bit too boring for such a colourful character - and anyway Warne should have got most of his hellos out of the way before the game. “Ripper” is 8/1, but we like the look of “Back home” at 10/1 or, for sheer value “Crack open a tinnie” at a massive 50/1. If you disagree with us, here’s the full list that PaddyPower are offering bets on :

6/1 G’day mate
8/1 Ripper
10/1 Back home
12/1 Got him!
12/1 Strewth!
12/1 Men at work
12/1 Fairdinkum
12/1 I should be out there
14/1 He’s gone walkabout
14/1 Bonzer
14/1 Send me a text
16/1 Ball of the century
16/1 C’mon Aussie C’mon
18/1 Call that spin?
20/1 Can’t spin for toffee
20/1 I don’t give a Four X
20/1 Amber Nectar
25/1 Flamin’ Gallahs
25/1 C’mon England
50/1 Crack open a tinnie
50/1 Hello possums
66/1 Advanced Hair Studio
66/1 Skippy the kangaroo
80/1 I come from the land Down Under
100/1 Throw another shrimp on the Barbie

If no matches in the series are drawn, then all losing bets on the series result outcome will be refunded - that’s a pretty generous deal, so try your luck now over at PaddyPower.com!
