Betfair: Daily Racing Tips: Walk this way

Today’s update from Betfair:

Carl Harris casts his eye over the water for Sunday’s top tip…

I plan on taking it easy on Sunday, recovering from Saturday’s full day at York, but the big race of the day, at the Curragh, The Group One Phoenix Stakes for two year-olds is worth consideration. Tommy Stack’s filly will be my only bet today.

Walk On Bye (3.40) looked a very decent filly and having only had two career starts she has already recorded a group three win. Aidan O’Brien saddles half the field of eight but I think Walk On Bye will progress in to a very decent filly year next year and I fully expect her to land this group one with Wayne Lordan aboard.

She has the benefit of the fillies weight allowance and I think she will have improved from her last start, but even a reproduction of that should see her take this race. Surprisingly, Walk On Bye is not too prominent in the 1000 Guineas market, but a good win on Sunday could change that. She was quoted as a 25-1 chance after her Anglesey Stakes win and there may be some trading potential in the ante-post market.

One Bet Sunday:

3.40 the Curragh - Walk On Bye, Win
