Andrew Scott will finish the first season of the PokerStars.net ANZPT with 40 points - that’s 10 points for participating in four of the five events. Sadly, the hopes of a first cash for the 2008 APPT Macau High Roller runner-up have come to an early finish after he became the first player sent to the rail on day 1B of the PokerStars.net ANZPT Queensland Main Event here at Jupiters on the Gold Coast today.
Scott lost a classic “made hand versus big draw” race :
Sydney’s Daniel Neilson, who finished 73rd in the 2009 WSOP Main Event for almost USD $70,000, claimed Scott’s scalp when he pushed all-in with [9s] [9d]. Scott called, and showed [6h] [4h] on a board showing [5s] [7s] [9h] [jh]. Scott needed help, and it didn’t arrive as the [kd] sailed down the river.
A great supporter of both the ANZPT and APPT, we look forward to catching up with Andrew in Macau where he’ll be out to go one better in the APPT Macau High Roller at the Grand Lisboa Hotel and Casino.

I have always asked this question to myself and yes, I think it’s true. Reasons why:
- Some jag shots in will make you fearless.
- Bluffing comes naturally out and you shine as the best bluffer in the table.
- You will scream 3 times louder than usual.
- Stress is out and poker becomes the best game around.
- The feeling is as similar as riding a rollercoaster.
- At the end of the game, if you win… you are going to think you are as good as Hellmuth.
Probably best not to try the “couple of shots of hard booze” tactic if you’re just starting out at the game, or playing online (and don’t forget if you are new we have a page specially dedicated to Poker Rules For Beginners), but UB do have an argument -
I am being honest with all of you, I made a test and it worked and I am sure you all have gone through it as well: Correct me if I am wrong.
For example, I found the following statement: “You can get effervescent, easier and relaxed. You can talk more easily and feel less tired.” Good point, don’t you think?
