Welcome, everybody, to the latest post in our series of online gambling roundups, brought to you by the Golden Rule Of Gambling team.
This morning we start over at the PartyPoker blog, where
Here’s the update :
Tuesday night was party night for the PartyPoker players and our special guests. The venue was beside the pool at the brand new Hard Rock Hotel in the City of Dreams resort complex over on the other island here in Macau. This place was an excellent venue for the party and the players had a great time.
You can read a full review of the PartyPoker site at our sister website, where we feature Party on our Reputable Poker Sites page. Don’t forget that Party also run a casino at PartyCasino. You’ll find our casino reviews on our casino files page, with a quick intro to Party’s offering on our other casinos page.
To start with we all had VIP passes for the new attraction called “The Bubble” which was a very exciting yet unusual 3D cinematic show a little bit similar to an IMAX cinema.
Up at the poolside, there were cocktails served in pineapples and coconuts and some delicious Asian food for everyone to enjoy. The players were really enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, the balmy evening and the music beside the pool. Rumour had it that a Saudi oil sheik was also having a private party on the other side of the pool.
We’ll leave the PartyPoker blog with their cocktails at this point, but check out Thursday’s full length post at the PartyPoker blog if you are thirsty for more.

They start their post today with a look at poker in one of Europe’s most famous cities, London :
EPT London has long been an interesting stop for the EPT. It happens in Europe’s biggest city and in one of the world’s quaintest casinos. The Vic (more properly known as the Grosvenor Victoria Casino) has a certain old school charm to it that reminds us all of how poker used to be. Now, though, poker has grown, and on the EPT it has never been bigger than this season’s EPT London.
Running September 30 - October 7 of this year, EPT London is now the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London Poker Festival. More than the name is getting bigger. This will be the biggest ever EPT event. Organizers have scheduled…wait for it…16 different events over the eight days of play. With buy-ins ranging from £500 up to £20,000 and games ranging from hold’em to eight-game championships, the festival is going to be too big for just one casino. That’s why this year the event is expanding beyond the walls of the Vic and a few hundred meters down the street to the Hilton Metropole Hotel. The Vic is still hosting, but everyone realizes, poker and the EPT have gotten too big to fit. (You can see the recently released schedule on the EPT London page).
If your appetite has been whetted then hop on a red double decker bus to Thursday’s full length post at the PokerStars blog.

Let’s check in with the latest developments at UltimateBet now : They start their post today with a “time flies” moment, before going on to
I can’t believe it…my son Jarod turns 15 this week! For those of you who have met him before he is a little taller than he was 3 years ago when I brought him to Aruba. WTF he is over 6′1″ tall now. He has been reading the learners permit book and is ready to go in and get that done. Now I know why my parents were the way they were. This next weekend I have plans to go up to Portland and meet up with the Wisconsin boys, H0, Wisco, Jon Green, and of course Phil to hang and do some golfing. Should be a fun time.
If you have read my last 2 blogs you know that they have been 2 of my ” favorite Aruba moments”. They are in no particular order, just fun memories I have of my 6 straight years going to Aruba. Aruba moment #3 – The Debo. This moment was pure circumstance, I believe it was Aruba 2006. This was the first year that Phil’s Penthouse party was partially planned. In previous years it was a small, impromptu get-together. Soon after word spread about the fun that was had at these parties and UB stepped in and gave it a little structure. So that day wisco, H0 and I were hanging with Phil watching college football before the party started. The people from the Radisson started coming in and bringing some food and drink to cater the party. The selection was fairly small for drinks, consisting of Champagne, Grey Goose vodka and for some reason they had a couple of bottles of watermelon pucker.
Champagne for us every time, but if you want to know what Grey Goose vodka does to a bunch of poker players then check out Thursday’s full length post at the UltimateBet blog.
