Qualifier
In poker, the minimum ranking a hand must have in order for it to be eligible to take part of the pot. You usually find "qualifiers" in Stud Poker. Visit our sister site for an overview of the different types of the game and poker rules for the beginner.
Quick fire
A type of slot or fruit machine in which spins happen at a faster rate than normal. In the Uk there are now limits on how short a "turn" on a slot or fruit machine can be, as there are concerns that "quick-fire" machines do not offer value for money for players. Although they are "high octane", exciting machines, they can cause players to lose large amounts of money very quickly.
