CRAPS RULES PRINTER FRIENDLY:

Each player takes a turn to roll the two dice ( be "the shooter") and bets on what they will throw.  The two most common bets are "Pass" and "Don't pass".  The first roll is called the "come-out roll" and determines how the rest of the game plays out.  If the number rolled is:

7 or 11 : pass line bets win straight away at even money, don't pass bets lose straight away

.

2, 3 or 12 (craps) : pass line bets lose straight away, don't pass line bets lose straight away except for 12 when the dice is rolled again.

4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 : the shooter rolls again.  The number rolled here is called the "point" and this becomes the number the shooter aims to hit with the next roll. Once the "point" has been made a variety of other bets become possible. The shooter

keeps rolling until s/he either rolls the point number a second time or rolls a 7, which determines whether bets win or lose depending on the bet made.
