Party Poker Launches "No Download" Poker Room

Party Poker's new "Anywhere" (Beta) poker room lets you play from your browser, without having to download any extra software. It works with all versions of Windows, Mac and Linux, and will run in Internet Explorer (version 5 onwards), Mozilla Firefox (v1.0 onwards) and Safari (v1.3 onwards). You don't get all of the frills of the download version - there's no dealer options or table re-sizing for example - but if you're away from home and need your fix of poker it'll deal you in even when you're out and about. Pacific Poker Sends Players Back To School
Pacific Poker have introduced a "Poker School" to help "educate, entertain, communicate and share this great game". The current most popular lessons are "Playing Texas Hold Em", "Strategy For Starters" and "Know Your Self". As well as lessons, players can post questions to a new forum, asking how they should play in a particular situation, or whether they played a particular hand the right way. PacificPoker has been notorious for attracting players with weak poker skills, and it remains to be seen whether this resource will improve the overall standard of play.
